For a moment, I almost forgot I was alone. 
The way you make me laugh, 
when all I really wanna do is cry. 
The way you encourage me, 
when I wanna give up and not try. 

For just a second, I forgot I was alone. 
The way we talked long into the night, 
fighting just to stay awake. 
The way I could just be myself, 
when everyone else is so fake. 

But now I remember, I'm still alone. 
It was all a dream, 
time to wake up and see. 
That I never belonged to you, 
and you'll never belong to me. 

For just a second, I forgot that I was alone...
