I feel You tugging at heartstrings,
but I don't know which way to turn.
The only way that seems logical
is the one by which I have been burned.
How do I have relationship with You
from outside of those doors?
I don't want to be tied in their religion;
I just want to be fully Yours.
The chains that bound me,
put on my neck by tradition and rules...
they entangle me to this day
and I just want to break free from the push and pull.
I want to love You and adore You.
I want to give you my everything and more.
Remind me again of my former passions.
Remind me again what it is I'm living for.
You're tugging so gently at my heartstrings,
Pull me close and wrap me in Your Arms.
Hide me in the shadow of Your Wings.
Keep me safe and help me do no harm.
