Poem I wrote "Outsider" October 31, 2010

Outsider

No matter where I run; no matter where I hide;
no matter where I go; i'm still on the outside.
Even through the smiles and all the tears i've cried;
I'm still left wandering alone on the outside.

I'll never truly fit in; I'll always see it in their eyes.
They don't really see me behind the disguise.
I masquerade with the change in the tide.
But even with the facade, I'm still on the outside.

Do I risk it all? Do I lay it on the line?
Or do I go on, screaming and dying inside?
God only knows how hard I've tried...
So I blend in as much as possible, still on the outside.
