Yeah, I thought the title would get your attention ;P This note IS about booty, but not in the sense you're probably thinking. I'm talking about booty as in treasure. So let's explore!
I was thinking today about how I hold great treasure within me, just waiting to be unlocked. This triggered the reality that women are treasure chests. Some of us have been abandoned at the bottom of the ocean. Some of us are rusted and covered in barnacles. Some of us are still new chests with ornate designs, glittering for all to see. But there is one thing we all have in common: We hold very valuable treasure inside.
This thought of course ran its course and made me think about my treasure. I may be rusted with barnacles all over me, abandoned at the bottom of the ocean... but under the rust, under the barnacles, thousands of feet at the bottom of the ocean, my design is still unique. There are still ornate decorations on me. Under the pressure of the water, with all the rust, I am sealed shut. There is a very strong padlock holding the lid shut, not to mention the barnacles and rust gluing the lid tighter. And inside, there are great gems, jewels, and treasure just waiting to be found. There's only one problem: the key. Because of the design of my particular treasure chest, it is particularly advanced in its security. Its Designer created it so that it could not be tampered with. No amount of prying, smashing, or attempt at breaking in will open this chest. Only the key will reveal the contents.
Somewhere, there is a 'diver' out there, a man that knows that there is great treasure hidden within this chest. He has waited his whole life to seek out this treasure. Maybe he's on the treasure hunt now, trying to find the location of this precious treausure chest. But one thing is for sure: unless he can fiind the key, his journey is for nought. This treasure hunter must be a brave soul: one who will risk life and limb to dive to the depths of the ocean. He will have to brave the elements, the dark, murky waters, the animal life, and the lack of oxygen to find the treasure chest. He will dive to the depths of the ocean floor and carefully bring the chest back to the surface, and carefully transport it to land. There, he will need to chip away at the rust and barnacles. But his journey has not ended there. He still has not found the key. It is only with intense study of the chest that he will be able to decypher where the key is found. Yes, there is an encrypted code located somewhere on the chest that gives clues to the whereabouts of the missing key.
The treasure hunter now has to intensely study the treasure chest and identify its origin, how long it has been on the ocean floor, how it got on the bottom of the ocean floor, etc. He needs to have an understanding of how to treat the chest so as to not destroy some of the more fragile treasure inside. Once he has discovered the key and gone to great lengths to protect and cherish the chest, he is ready to unlock the chest and enjoy the treasure within.
Only a dedicated treasure hunter will endure the tedious work involved in finding this treasure. But he will do it with tremendous joy because he knows the value of not only the treasure inside, but of the chest itself. He knows how unique and precious each are.
Happy Treasure Hunting!
